Coffee cherries are carefully picked off the tree and left to dry out in the sun for weeks at a time. The dried outer layer is then hulled away, leaving only the coffee beans which are packed full of the sugars and fruity sweetness imparted by the drying of the cherry.
This coffee is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative (OCFCU), an organization established in 1999 to support a stable coffee supply from cooperatives in the Oromia region of Ethiopia.
